Tree in a Silo Farm

Welcome to Tree in a Silo Farm, established in 2019. Here, in the soil near Blair, Nebraska, we are dedicated to the simple, profound work of cultivating life through sustainable agriculture. We are a small farm with a deep connection to nature, built from the ground up by Patricia Pinto, a Hispanic woman whose passion is to provide high-quality, naturally grown food for the community. Our work is guided by a commitment to "transparently natural" farming—while we are not certified organic, we openly share our methods, which avoid synthetic pesticides and herbicides to ensure a healthy environment for our plants and animals. We primarily communicate in English and Spanish.

Mission Statement

Our mission is a simple one: to foster biodiversity and help cultivate a greener world through responsible farming practices. As a single-person operation founded by a Hispanic woman with deep roots in agriculture and a love for the earth, we believe that the best food comes from a place of respect for nature. We see the farm not just as a business, but as a partnership with the land. Every egg, vegetable, and flower is a result of this relationship. We strive to offer our community food that is not only fresh and delicious but is grown with integrity and care, creating a story of self-reliance and connection that we hope our customers can taste in every bite and see in every bouquet

Operating Hours

Our farm operates by appointment or during scheduled pickup times for pre-orders. To arrange a purchase or learn about our CSA schedule, please reach out via email or check our social media pages for the most current information.

Heritage & Philosophy

With pride, we identify as a Hispanic woman-owned and operated farm. Our founder, Patricia Pinto, brings her Honduran heritage and a lifetime of connection to the land to her work in Nebraska. This identity is woven into the very fabric of the farm, influencing our deep respect for nature and our commitment to building a resilient business through self-reliance and passion. We embrace our story as a bridge between cultures and a testament to the powerful contributions of women and diverse voices in agriculture.
